Swedish Massage

Relieve stressful feelings through rhythmic strokes and movements that promote general relaxation, improve circulation, range of motion and relieve muscle tension.  Touch can vary from light to deep.

Reflexology

Reflexology is based on the long established principle that energy zones run throughout the body and reflex areas in the feet and hands.  These energy zones correspond to all major organs, glands and body parts, as well as these zones.  Touch is light to medium.

Myofascial Release

Myofascial Release is a very effective hands-on technique that provides sustained pressure into myfascial restrictions to eliminate pain and restore range of motion. Touch is medium to deep.

Trigger Point Therapy

Using deep touch, trigger point therapy stresses palpitation for painful, tender, tight and over sensitized areas.

Orthopedic Massage

Helpful in aligning soft tissue, orthopedic massage focuses on pain treatment and improving muscular function and range of motion.  It helps to dissolve adhesions, realign soft tissue, reduce or eliminate tension and improve circulation.  These integrated massage techniques are effective in the rehabilitation of soft-tissue dysfunction.

Healing Touch

Excellent for individuals who are sensitive to touch.  Increasingly popular as a complementary health care tool used to reduce stress, pain and enhance the body's restorative processes.  Healing Touch is an energy-based therapeutic approach to healing using near to light touch which gently manipulates the body's energy field flow.  Healing Touch helps to improve physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health and enhances your own natural healing ability.

Specialized Treatments
Pre-Natal/Post-Partum Massage - Bodywork for Childbearing Year® This 70 minute treatment offers maximum relaxation and relief from the common discomforts associated with pregnancy.  Some moms-to-be even say they "forgot they were pregnant" during the treatment.  Touch is light to medium.

Infant Massage Techniques

Our infant massage techniques session offers instruction in the principals of massaging infants.  Benefits to babies include strengthened and regulated primary systems (i.e. respiratory, circulatory, nervous, etc).  Infant massage helps to reduce gas and colic and promotes better sleep habits.  For parents and caregivers, infant massage can significantly improve attachment bond, facilitate a better understanding of infant's cues and help you relax and listen to the baby.  Classes are offered once a week for four weeks.  Private sessions are also available.  Please contact us for details.
